Being myself!

Sadhguru wanted me to repeat "I am not the body;I am not the mind." I continued meditating for a while and had an epiphany. Spiritually speaking, yes, "I" here, refers to the immortal, formless and divine soul. However, as much as these guided meditations ask me to let go, the more I cling on. I clutch tight. Maybe the mind never wants to let go. For me, "I" am the mind, the body and  the soul, all packed into one. I enjoy the sensual pleasures that the world offers me. I love the act of creation and the pseudo God like status. My self craves to lose itself in the act of creation. The journey sublimates the self and continues to redefine the boundaries of excellence. Well, it could be that I have an ego. But then, who doesn't? Atleast, I don't have ego hassles with people.
Maybe i need to redfine the whole project, change the angle. I am the body and I am the mind. yes, that is so simple to follow. In fact, I should take care of my body and my mind. Eat right and exercise. Read, think and write. The spiritual being needs to be guided and taken on the path of the Divine. The mortal self needs to be fed on worldly sins. But, what if there is nowhere to go. If I am going to be re-born as another human being, the let me simply enjoy the "being" that I already have. There is no proof that life exists after death. The most beautiful aspect of death is it is inescapable and sudden. If death is the only certainty that I see, then it is logical that I enjoy every breathing moment.

Well, I might rise spiritually someday. Some day I will evolve.Till then, I prefer to enjoy awesome relationships, conversations, books, food, travel, nature and lots of creative moments of blissful inspiration.

Signing off!

  1. Nice post though I disagree with you in several counts on this.. Of course, I am not getting into the intricacies simply because I lack patience to do so and also taking into consideration the limitations of the medium. Almost all spiritual leaders (if not all) say that I am not the body and I'm not the mind and it's just not Sadhguru alone who says so.

Still Waters

T hey throng during weekends T hey laugh, click, and “ like ”. I wait and watch the time go by; Wait till the swamp shall devour me. Sad and still the waters hide the hideous face of Nature; Lonely, bare and withering I stand waiting for the Great Spirit To come crashing down on me. I glance at the mass that’s left Waiting to go down. The sore begins to fester and rot. Slow and agonizing water seeps into me. Time slips by. I cling, clutch, sink, and die.
